About/Contact

If there is one thing the Internet needs, it’s another blog.  Am I right or am I right?

The stats:

  • I am 29 years old and my name is Robyn.  Hi!
  • I live in Toronto, Canada
  • I am married and have two cats
  • I had my first baby, Henry, on November 4th, 2010!
  • I am a vegetarian

My husband and I/Me and my husband (I can never remember the proper grammar)

The famous, and I mean FAMOUS, Dr. Snuggles.

She is not very happy in this picture due to the harness around her body.  It’s a tough price to pay for a bit of freedom.

Bootsy Collins:  Not just a funk musician

I’ve been reading food blogs like Kath Eats Real Food and Oh She Glows on and off for about a year.  I even attempted creating one myself but flogging (food + blogging) can be a time-consuming challenge.  Plus my blog wasn’t very good.  Sure, the writing was witty and charming (!) but my photography skills were lacking and how many times do you want to share with the world that you had yet another bowl of oatmeal with yogurt and berries?

My inspiration for this blog came from my combined interest in healthy eating and frugal living.  The frugal living has become paramount due to my impending year-long maternity leave (thank you Canadian government!).  I will be living on 55% of my usual income, all the while supporting an entirely new human being AND trying to keep myself entertained without a job to keep me occupied.  The challenges of the bourgeoisie, eh?

It dawned on me that I could keep a food blog while also writing about budgeting, frugal living and other monetary issues.  Wealth and health, fitness and frugality…what a perfect combination!

Thanks for joining me on the beginning of this journey.

Now if only we can convince the Canadian government to lower the price of greek yogurt…

Feel free to contact me at frugalnfit@gmail.com!  Please no stalking 😉

Hey! I found your blog through Carrots N Cake because we both asked the exact same question about how she carries her camera (lol!), and I also know Therese who commented here before me 🙂 Small world for Toronto bloggers!

Awesome website, I’m not too far from you. About an hour west. I never knew how to keep up with the food blogging either because I’m quite boring unlike other foodies. So, I just blog about random stuff. No real topics, hahaha…

Aw, thanks! I’ve kind of gotten away from the blogging world as of late, but hopefully I’ll get the urge to start writing again soon 🙂
