My new digs

Hurrah!  I have made it on here.  The secret is to come to work an hour early.

*Shoots self in head*.

I know, not the most ideal of situations, but this way I can get a coffee, get stuff sorted out, have some time to blog, and not be all stressed about before my coworkers arrive.  Plus this is a temporary situation.  62 or so more days…

For breakfast this morning, I decided to equip myself with something green!  When life has you stressed, it is important to consume as many green things as possible.  This does not mean money 😉

This Green Monster is made with:

  • 1 cup of 1% milk
  • 3/4 cup frozen peaches
  • 1/2 sliced frozen banana
  • Lots of baby spinach

I had it with a toasted 100 calorie wheat thin with peanut butter and apricot jam.

I ate it like a sandwich and it was very tasty.

I have to say, as much as this new job has got me dreaming about board meetings and to-do lists, I love to walk into my office.  There are four walls, a door, and a window!  I have been window-less for five years so the sunlight is very foreign to me.  I kind of love it.

My desk where the blog magic happens!

What people see when they walk into my office.  I have my own fax machine!  That would have been more exciting about 15 years ago.

Actual natural light!

So that’s a little peak into my professional world.  Stay tuned for six months from now when a peak into my professional world involves diaper changes and sleep deprivation!

I love sneak peeks into peoples’ lives! That’s why I like blogging so much and trust me, taking a sneak peek into the life of your wee baby boy will make me OBSESSED with your blog! I mean seriously, babies EVERY DAY!!!!

Let me correct that: babies and CATS! Can’t be beat!

i am very jealous of your door… i have a corner cubicle with a window, pretty much the sweetest section of the front office…but no door. and i have to walk halfway across the office to get to the fax machine…. 😦 i believe it took the person in my job now 7 years to get an “office”…. 4.5 more to go…. 🙂

I don’t know how long I will have this office — until they hire the permanent EA or until I go into labour! 🙂

What happens when you love to eat healthy (and some unhealthy!) food, love to live frugally, and love to write? You start a food blog, of course. Of course!

Eating well and living frugally does not always come easy, but Lord help me, I am trying! This blog will detail my endeavor to live the best life possible. This will include pictures of my cats, odes to almond butter, and the general miscellany that makes up my life. Enjoy!
