Bubba Gump

Last night was the third night in a row I went to bed way past my bedtime.  This is what happens when one has a social life.  I know, I don’t understand it either.  I am learning that I can operate well on about 6 hours of sleep, although it helps to also ingest a Tall half-decaf/half-caf coffee from Starbs!  It is the fuel of champions.

Since I OD’d on ice cream last night, I tried to keep breakfast on the lighter side.  This meant one piece of toast instead of two!  What a sacrifice.

I just had a regular slice of whole wheat toast with a bit of margarine and a BLUE Monster made with:

  • 1 1/4 cups of 1% milk (needed to add more milk because it was too thick to mix!)
  • 1  cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1 sliced, frozen banana
  • The last of my spinach

It took me forever to drink and I was late leaving the house.  It was worth it, though 🙂

Husband’s Korean friend gave us this cup.  It is perfectly sized for Green Monster consumption purposes.   Plus it has a shrimp wearing a top hat!

It is almost the weekend.  I can practically taste it.  I am ready, willing, and able to spend this entire weekend doing absolutely nothing.  How about you?

    Shrimps in top hats. Classic.

Other than a birthday party I’m hosting on Saturday I plan to also do absolutely nothing. Until Sunday, when I’ll finish up a school project. So, really, it’s just Sunday I’m doing nothing. Other than a 15k long run.

Okay, apparently my idea of “nothing” is a bit skewed…

I was going to say a 15K run is not nothing! I feel so lazy in comparison. At least the pregnancy is a good excuse 😉

I’d actually like to get to the gym and get a new swimsuit this weekend.
Perhaps some grocery shopping as well.

What happens when you love to eat healthy (and some unhealthy!) food, love to live frugally, and love to write? You start a food blog, of course. Of course!

Eating well and living frugally does not always come easy, but Lord help me, I am trying! This blog will detail my endeavor to live the best life possible. This will include pictures of my cats, odes to almond butter, and the general miscellany that makes up my life. Enjoy!
