Not Carrots

I am pleased to report that my snack this morning did not involve carrots!  Instead, I broke out a bag of Newman’s Own Mini Honey Wheat pretzels that I purchased when I was in the States.

A 110 calorie serving is 20 pretzels which is quite a bit!  I was impressed.

Ingredients are: organic unbleached wheat flour, organic whole wheat flour, organic honey, organic sugar, organic sunflower oil, salt, yeast, soda.

They have a very “healthy” flavour which some may not like in their “junk” food, but I loved these!  They were like sweet crackers.

I consumed about half of my salad for lunch before I realized I hadn’t taken a picture.  Oops!  I am usually so eager to crack into these puppies that I often take a bite or two before taking a picture.  Today I must have been extra-hungry!

  • Baby spinach
  • 1/2 sliced tomato
  • 1/2 sliced avocado
  • Broccoli
  • Mushrooms
  • Red pepper
  • Hummus
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Cubed cheddar cheese
  • Balsamic Vinaigrette

For dessert, two squares of dark chocolate!

Thankfully, tonight Big Brother is on!  Is it just me, or are you having a difficult time adjusting to Wednesday episodes of BB?  My Tuesday nights have been so bleak ever since, like there is a gaping hole now.  *Sniff*

Since I didn’t walk to the subway this morning, I hope to head out after dinner.  My itinerary for this evening is as such:

  • Cook dinner
  • Make lunch for tomorrow
  • Clean kitchen
  • Go for walk
  • Blog
  • Watch BB

Not bad, not bad…
